“Americana” provides a view of the country through a new set of eyes. Filmed by multiple filmmakers using time lapse, tilt shift, slow motion and aerial photography techniques, the piece was shot across 11 states by multiple filmmakers. According to the filmmakers and producers at Mount Airy Films, “Americana” is just the beginning. In fact, it could be considered the kick-off to one of the most ambitious underground filmmaking endeavors ever attempted; an undertaking Mount Airy has dubbed, “The Five Year Film Project”.


An open call to all cinematographers and filmmakers, “The Five Year Film Project” aims to create a visually stunning and collaborative work of art featuring the submissions of visual artists from across the globe, capturing many cultures, countries and natural and manmade wonders in time lapse, slow motion, tilt shift and other cinematography techniques. The end result will be a vibrant film that showcases the wonders and beauty of the world through the eyes and lenses of many individual filmmakers.

NYC City Shoot – Part 2

Last year I had the opportunity to shoot NYC.  Well this time it is now Kyle and Dan’s turn to tear up the big apple.  Here are some photos that were sent back from the days shoot.  I can’t wait to see the footage.  They spend the morning shooting Grand Central Terminal and shots of lower Manhattan from New Jersey.  Last night they they did some night shoots from the Brooklyn Bridge as well as met up with the founder of
